READ 180 is a research based program designed to improve the reading comprehension and fluency of our fourth graders.

 

  

 

After School Tutoring and LEAP Remediation are programs to help prepare our third and fourth graders for the LEAP and ILEAP tests.

  

 

 

The Safe Schools/Healthy Students program provides a full time counselor designed to reduce absences, tardies, suspensions, and behavior problems in the classroom.

 

 

Accelerated Reader is a program that promotes effective, personalized reading practice.  Participating students read, answer questions, and work toward reaching individualized reading goals.  Celebrations are held each nine weeks to recognize those students who have met their goals.

 

 

TASC                                                                                 Capitol Elementary has been selected by the EBR School Board, the Truancy Assessment & Service Center (TASC), and Child Welfare & Attendance to participate in the TASC program.  This program focuses on the reporting of attendance status, referrals, and Truancy Court to effectively confront attendance issues.
